Writing is my life. It's what defines me. I breath it. It gets me out of bed in the morning and what motivates me to want to make a difference in this world.
If I was stranded on a desert island and I could only have one modern convenience, it would be paper and pencil (I know, its technically two, but it's my whimsical nonsense). And if there ever comes a day when I can't write anymore, it will be the end of my existence, because without the ability to write, I might forgot how to dream.
Writing is the glue that holds my essence together. The ability to tell a story is not easy, but because of the wonderful writers who went before me to show me how, I think I'm finally understanding the true meaning of story-telling.
"We are the music makers And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;-- World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems ..." ~Arthur O'Shaughnessy
